Velda Scott

Velda Scott, age 70, of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born December 12, 1941 in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of Charles B. and Dorothy (Cummins) Schultz. She married Raymond R. Scott. Velda worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a member of the 4th Street Wesleyan Church. Preceding Velda in death were her parents, her husband Raymond, one sister, one brother, and two grandsons. Survivors include three sons Charles T. Scott of Lawrenceville, Darryl L. Scott of Bridgeport, R. Bruce Scott (Christy) of Lawrenceville; three daughters Betty J. Lunsford (Steve) of Paris, IL, Janice L. Moudy (Gary Ty) of Lawrenceville, C. Joyce Moore (Gary) of Pinkstaff, IL; four brothers Leon Schultz of Lawrenceville, Robert Schultz of DeMotte, IN, Darryl Schultz of Ft. Wayne, IN and Keith Schultz of Gary, IN; three sisters Patty Bellinger of Lawrenceville, IL, Kay Conway of South Haven, IN, and Nancy Wilson of Lawrenceville, IL,; 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at May Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
