Urma L Shidler

Biography Urma L. Shildler, 86, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Sunday June 12, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born May 19, 1925 in Lawrence County, IL the daughter of Thomas "Alga" and Viola (Rice) Alford. She was first married to John Dolman. He passed away July 25, 1977. She then married James Shidler. He passed away June 17, 1996. Urma worked as a CNA at the United Methodist Village for 30+ years. She attended the 6th Street Wesleyan Church. Surviving are a son: John Dolman of Lawrenceville, IL, three daughters: Jan Holcomb (John) of Lawrenceville, IL, Linda Bare (Ralph) of Lowery, MO, Debbie Grogan (Tom) of Lawrenceville, IL, one sister Elizabeth Mason of Lawrenceville, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Urma was preceded in death by her parents, both her first and second husbands, one son, two infant daughters, one brother and one sister. The funeral will be at 1:00 PM Friday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be Friday from 12 Noon until the hour of service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lawrence County Senior Citizens with envelopes available at the funeral home.
