Tyler Joe Inboden was born on September 08, 1982 in Vincennes, Indiana, the only son of Jack and Jeanne (Fleming) Inboden of Lawrenceville, Illinois. He died very unexpectedly at his home in Lawrenceville on February 03, 2022.
He was preceded by maternal grandparents, Mark Sr. and Wilma Fleming; paternal grandparents, Clare and Barbara Inboden; and a special uncle, Mark Fleming, Jr.
Survivors include his parents, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and companions, Sadie and Lucy.
Tyler was a 2001 graduate of Lawrenceville High School, and a graduate of Olney Central College and Oakland City University. Tyler began his band career in 7th grade, where he learned to play the tuba. That was a huge turning point in his life. His love of music and hidden talent on the tuba brought many years of fun with band families and friends. He enjoyed the many trips, performances, parades, and even the Adult Tuba Christmas Group, which he participated until his late 30’s. He encouraged children to join the band – “It will take you farther in life than you can imagine – with the ability to obtain college scholarships.”. He was known to his band buddies as ‘Ty Tuba’.
Tyler worked at The Knox County Public Library in Vincennes for five years. The highlight of that career was his special gift with people. The privilege of signing up a child for their first library card was a thrill beyond words for him. He also had the privilege of delivering books to residents at the nursing homes. He made lifetime friends with those residents. Many of them spoiled him with a candy bars or sodas. They will never forget his smile, warmth, or friendship.
He was currently working at Kirchoff Insurance, which Tyler felt was a perfect fit. He felt God led Tyler to Scott and Susie. It was a perfect place and in His perfect time. While it ended way too soon, it created many lasting memories.
Tyler will be remembered as a gentle, witty, and kind man. His family, friends, and church family were top priority to him. He was known to be a HUGE Chicago Cubs fan, and he was thrilled to be able to attend a game at Wrigley Field. He traveled with his friends to Chicago Bears, Illini, and Colorado Rockies games, and they were also highlights of his life. If you asked him if he was a member of any clubs, he would have to grin and say, “Yeah, the Dairy Queen Blizzard of the Month Club. I get emails every month with coupons and specials. Someone has to keep that club going!”.
His faith was very evident and strong, to his last day. He attended and loved The Birds Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed the old hymns, as they were his testimony: ‘Victory In Jesus’, ‘Amazing Grace’, ‘In The Garden’, and ‘How Great Thou Art’. He lived by Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” He felt God had great things in store, and would bring them to pass in His perfect time. God blessed his parents with a son, which they felt there could be no greater gift from God than to raise a child. Tyler was known for his kindness, and continued to encourage everyone to do some small act of kindness.
