Tony Dale Carter

Tony Dale Carter, age 58, of rural Bridgeport passed away September 9, 2010 at his home. He was born December 16, 1951 in Lawrence County, IL the son of Danny Vincent and Verna Maxine (Shidler) Carter.Tony worked as a welder and operator through Local Union 841. He also worked for Lawrenceville Ready Mix Cement Company, as well as Mt. Carmel Sand and Gravel.Tony was an avid fisherman and wild life lover. He was a Navy veteran.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include his sister Pamela Jo and Mike Varner of Lawrenceville; a special niece Missy Varner of Lawrenceville; his friend and companion Wanda Emmons, her children and grandchildren Avery and Jacob.The body will be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society.
