Tommy Jean Hawkins

Tommy Jean Hawkins May 1, 1935 - April 13, 2012 Tommy Jean Hawkins, age 76, of rural Flat Rock, IL passed away April 13, 2012 in Crawford County. He was born May 1, 1935 in Lawrence County, IL the son of Clifford Cleo and Irene Frances (Allen) Hawkins. He married Marilyn Whittaker August 17, 1963 and she survives. Tommy was a farmer. He attended Hebron Road Church of Christ and was an Army veteran. His memberships included the National Rifle Association and Farm Bureau. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Marilyn of rural Flat Rock; one son Anthony "Tony" Hawkins of Bloomington, IN; two daughters Michelle Schneider (Matt) of North Las Vegas, NV and Jolene Headley (Matt) of Rowlett, TX; two brothers Clifford Hawkins, Jr. and Billy Hawkins (Fay) all of Lawrenceville, IL; one sister Ruth Green of Lawrenceville; and two grandsons Matthew Hawkins and Colton Headley. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. A private burial will be held at a later date.
