Tom Mcconn

Tom McConn, 78, of Bridgeport, IL passed away Tuesday September 8, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.He was born October 16, 1930 in Lawrenceville, IL the son of Frank and Lucia (Andrews) McConn. He married Marlene Olsen on August 16, 1952. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2004.He worked for Firestone Tire Company as a traveling salesman. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville, IL. He was US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the Moose.He is survived by 2 sons: Michael McConn of Escondido, CA, Patrick McConn of Bridgeport, IL, a daughter: Frances Dowler of Mojhave Desert, AZ, a brother: Tyler McConn of Lawrenceville, IL, a sister: Marcia Ogle of Westport, IN. A son: Richard, and an infant sister are deceased.A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL.  Burial of cremains will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted.
