Todd Carl Smith

Todd Carl Smith, age 39, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away October 2, 2014, at his residence. He was born July 14, 1975, in Vincennes, Indiana the son of Michael O. and Shirley J. (Brown) Smith. Todd worked as a welder. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. Other memberships include UA Local 136, AA and NA. One of Todd's greatest attributes was his kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Shirley Smith, of rural Lawrenceville; his fiancée Misty Bowman of Lawrenceville; one brother, Scott Smith and his wife Kim of Westfield, Indiana; and one sister Lynne Smith and her fiancé Scott Alexander of Indianapolis, Indiana; and two nieces Sydney and Mackenzie Smith. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville.
