Thomas J. Wimberly

Thomas J. Wimberly, age 59, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 23, 1966, in Lawrenceville, the son of Robert and Nancy (Condiff) Wimberly.

Thomas worked in lawn care and was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand to his neighbors. He enjoyed playing pool, working on automobiles and pickup trucks, and watching his favorite shows, The Dukes of Hazzard and westerns.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two brothers, Terry Wimberly of Lawrenceville and Michael Wimberly of Vincennes, Indiana.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
