Thomas Potts

Biography Thomas Potts, age 73, of rural Lawrenceville, IL passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at his residence. Born July 29, 1938 in Vincennes, Indiana, he was the son of Bernie Yarber and Lela (Pickett) Yarber. He married Linda Wampler on April 18, 1959 and she survives. He worked at various construction companies: Senco Construction, Maeco construction. He also worked at Leighty Brothers Wholesale. Thomas was member of the Eagles Lodge, and attended Wesleyan Christian Church on 4th Street. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Nancy Marie Potts, grandson: Jeremy Potts, and a daughter in law: Kathy Litherland; brother, Larry Yarber, sister; Goldie Thorne. Survivors include his wife Linda, three sons Tom Potts of Mesquite, Texas, Larry Potts and companion Bonita Pinkstaff of Pinkstaff, Illinois, and Don Potts of rural Lawrenceville; one brother, Jerry Yarber of Bridgeport, ; one sister, Bertha Schroyer of Lawrenceville; two grandsons, Charles and Jared Potts. Services will be on Tuesday March 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday March 26, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at May Chapel.
