Thomas Wayne Potts

Thomas Wayne Potts, age 62, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Dallas Regional Hospital in Mesquite, Texas. He was born on May 30, 1959 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Thomas O. and Linda (Wampler) Potts.

Thomas worked for Benning Power Electronics, Inc, and he previously worked for Bell Laboratories in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Preceding him in death was his father; one sister, Nancy Marie Potts; and one nephew, Jeremy Potts.

Survivors include his mother of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one son, Charles Bradley Potts of Mesquite, Texas; two brothers, Larry Potts and wife, Bonita of Pinkstaff, Illinois and Don Potts of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one nephew, Jared Potts and wife, Katie; and one great-nephew, Bryce Potts.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 09, 2021 at 1:00 PM CDT at the Hi-Way Church of God, located at 10611 Kaskaskia Lane in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM CDT at the church. Burial will be in the May Chapel Cemetery. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
