Thomas E. Frey

Thomas E. Frey, 63, of rural Lawrenceville, IL passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at his residence. Born May 12, 1949, in Knox County, Indiana, he was the son of Clarence A. and Edna M. (Leffler) Frey. He married Georgia J. Plowman on September 26, 1969. Tom retired after 27 years from Local 841 Operators Union out of Terre Haute. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Beverly Shick, a nephew Shane David Mitchell. Survivors include his wife, Georgia, of rural Lawrenceville; children Tabitha McCullough of Lawrenceville, Marty (Amy) Frey of Lawrenceville, and Adam Frey of Mt. Vernon, IN; two brothers Jim (Jerianne) of Cody, Wyoming, and Rick (Linda) of Sun City, AZ; two sisters Barbara Whittaker (Donald) of Lawrenceville and Diana Mitchell of Oxnard, CA; two sisters-in-law Marilyn Burling (Donald) and Marville Schwein (Frank), three brothers-in-law Jack Shick, Paul Plowman (Teresa) and Chuck Plowman (Diana); and five grandchildren Garrat McCullough, Hannah, Hayden, Jaxon and Hudson Frey, and 33 nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be 10 AM Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Friday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available through the funeral home.
