Suzanne Grove

Biography Suzanne Grove, 74, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born October 25, 1939, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Harry Weyer and Camilla (Dailey) Green, and step-daughter of Vernon Green. She married Billy Grove on December 22, 1963, and he died August 26, 2002. Suzanne was a Head Start teacher until retirement. She was a member of First Christian Church in Lawrenceville. Suzanne was very passionate about her children and grandchildren. She was an avid fan of Tom Landry and the Dallas Cowboys. Preceding Suzanne in death were her parents, her step-father, and her husband, Billy. Survivors include one son: Jeffry Grove of Lawrenceville; one daughter: Cindy (Philip) David of Lawrenceville; one brother: Charles (Cheryl) Weyer of Lawrenceville; three sisters: Barbara Cohan of Houston, Texas, Diane (Neil) Messenger of San Antonio, Texas, and Sarah (Steve) Dwyer of Marion, Illinois; four grandchildren: Scott (Jessica) David, Skye David, Mercedes Grove, and Thomas Grove. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Tuesday at First Christian Church in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 to 7 PM at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society or First Christian Church with envelopes available through the funeral home.
