Stanzie Kearby

Stanzie Marlene (Montgomery) Kearby, age, 76, of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012, at her residence. Born April 23, 1936, she was the daughter of Raymond and Sephrona (McKeighen) Montgomery. She was raised by Frona and Fred Tewell. She married Charles Mike Kearby on May 8, 1992, and he survives. Stanzie worked for several years at Central Industries. She was a member of the American Legion and VFW. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bill Montgomery, and two sisters, Wanda Cessna and Rose Marie Cooper. Survivors include one daughter Anna (Leo) Tewell of Lawrenceville, one step-son Nathan (Alta) Kearby of Kentucky, three grandsons, Shawn Tewell, Guy (Stacy) Tewell, Chris (Krystal) Tewell of Lawrenceville, one brother, Earl (Connie) Montgomery, two step-brothers Freddy Tewell and Scotty Moyes, two half-sisters, Lisa and Nina Montgomery, one step-sister JoAnn Pewitt, and a brother-in-law Mark Kearby, as well as eight great-grandchildren, Blain, Paige, Skyler, Sarah, Katelyn, and Dylan Tewell and Eli Billingsley all of Lawrenceville. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
