Shirley A. Stout

Shirley A. Stout, age 86, of Sumner, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois. She was born on June 02, 1936 in Oblong, Illinois, the daughter of Ocie and Gladys (Battershell) Dart. She married Warren D. Stout on May 13, 1953, and he preceded her in death on July 19, 2021.

Shirley was a farm wife and liked to work in her garden. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and doing word search puzzles. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and one daughter, Judy Lynn Hentzell.

Survivors include three children, Debra Ann Pougas of Chicago, Illinois and husband, George of Athens, Greece, Diana Jean Mills and husband, Stanley of Sumner, Illinois, and Warren Dee Stout and wife, Stacey of Sumner, Illinois; one sister, Jean Bubb and husband, Charlie of Oblong, Illinois; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Private services will be conducted. Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
