Sherry Laslie

Sherry L. (Richards) Laslie, age 42, of Lawrenceville, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015. She was born January 23, 1973, in Sullivan, IN, the daughter of William E. Richards and Jennilee (Plummer) Legg. She married James Laslie on April 24, 1993 and he survives. Sherry worked as a secretary with Project Aspire at Vincennes University. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary. A brother, Mark Richards, and a sister, Sandra Davis, preceded Sherry in death. Survivors include her husband, James Laslie, of Lawrenceville; her father, William E. Richards and her mother Jennilee Legg, both of Vincennes, IN; two sons, Collin Laslie and Mason Laslie and one daughter, Jessica Laslie, all at home; one brother, Matthew Richards of Vincennes, IN; two sisters, Billi Richards of Vincennes, IN, and Tonya Donaldson of Bruceville, IN, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. As per Sherry's wishes, her body will be cremated after the services. Memorials may be made to Riley Children's Hospital with envelopes available through the funeral home.
