Sherri J. Miller

Sherri J. Miller, age 81, of Flat Rock, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born May 25, 1935 in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Wilson Waters and Marie (Harrison) Brown. She married James ‘Jim' Miller in Harrisburg, Illinois on February 7, 1953 and he survives. Sherri was a secretary at Golden Rule, a truck driver at Covenant Transport in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and she and her husband managed a Shell gas station in Evansville, Indiana. Preceding Sherri in death were her parents; one infant daughter, Carlotta Sue; one sister; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. Survivors include her husband; children, Terri Seessengood and her husband Cliff of Noble, Illinois, Karen Fredrick and her husband Kenneth of Flat Rock, Illinois, and James Richard "Richie" Miller of Flat Rock, Illinois; ten grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to funeral home for funeral expenses.
