Sharon S. Musgrove

Sharon S. Musgrove, age 71, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Saturday July 13, 2019 at her residence. She was born June 5, 1948 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of George and Harriet Wanda (Richman) Compton. She married Robert Neil Musgrove in 1971, and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1997. Survivors include her father, George; two sons: Brian Musgrove and his wife Kelli of Newburgh, IN, Brent Musgrove and his wife Ashley of Lanesville, IN; a daughter, Canda Twitty and her husband Craig of Marion, IL; two brothers: Gary Compton and his wife Karen of rural Lawrenceville, IL, J.R. Compton and Tammy of Evansville, IN, three sisters: Judy Andrews and her husband Jim of Bloomington, IL, Carol Waldrop and her husband Randy of Dalton GA, Kathy Lappin and her husband Greg of Owensboro, KY, and three grandchildren: Dylan Musgrove, Brody Musgrove, and Eli Vance, and one granddaughter on the way. Preceding her in death was her mother, Harriet. Sharon worked for the Industrial Development Council, and served as County Coordinator, and worked as secretary for the Lawrence County Board. She was a member of Rising Sun Christian Church, and attended Beulah United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Prairie Maids Home Extension. She enjoyed baking and making candies. To her grandchildren and their friends, she was known as Mema. Sharon looked forward to her weekly outings with her grandchildren. The Funeral will be Thursday July 18, 2019 at 11:00am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation is Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the Leukemia Society of America.
