Scott E. Routien

Scott E. Routien, age 61, of Charleston, Illinois, formerly of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Monday, July 01, 2024 at his residence. He was born on November 30, 1962 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of Robert Lindell Routien and Carroll S. (Qualkinbush) Scales.

Scott was a pipefitter and worked for Local 157 out of Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a Mason and a member of the Moose.

Preceding him in death was his father and one sister, Donna Holmes.

Survivors include his mother of Bridgeport, Illinois; one brother, Trent Routien and wife, Janette of Robinson, Illinois; one half-brother, Daniel Wells of Chicago, Illinois; and four nieces, Leah (Holmes) Miller of Flat Rock, Illinois, Sarah (Holmes) Taylor of Robinson, Illinois, Mallory (Routien) Tague of Robinson, Illinois, and Marissa (Routien) Newlin of Olney, Illinois.

Per Scott’s request, there will be no formal services conducted. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
