S. Kent Lankford

S. Kent Lankford, age 58, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana. He was born September 23, 1955, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, the son of Stuart K. and Dolores L. (Board) Lankford. Kent worked as General Manager of WAKO Radio in Lawrenceville. He graduated from Parkland Junior College in Champaign, Illinois. He then attended and graduated from the Brown Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. Kent was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lawrenceville Rotary and Elks. Survivors include his parents Stuart K and Dolores L. Lankford of rural Lawrenceville; one daughter Olivia Lankford and her mother Jamie (Long) Lankford of Vincennes, Indiana; one sister Paige Lankford Petty (Terry) of Lawrenceville, and two nieces, Alexia and Sydney Kaye Petty. A memorial service will be held at 6 PM, Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 PM Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Olivia Lankford College Fund.
