Ruth A Green

Ruth A. Green, 86, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015. She was born June 11, 1928, in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Clifford C. and Irene (Allen) Hawkins. She married Donald L. Green on March 27, 1949, and he died May 17, 1999. Ruth was a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church and West Bond Home Extension. Preceding Ruth in death were her parents; her husband, Donald and one brother, Tommy Hawkins. Survivors include one son Dennis (Debbie) Green of rural Lawrenceville; one daughter Denise (Scott) Ford of Greeley, Co; two brothers, Clifford Hawkins Jr. and Billy F. Hawkins both of Lawrenceville, Il.; three grandchildren: Jonathan (Jennifer) Green, Sara Riggs (Curt Bernard), Jason (Jamie) Green; six great- grandchildren: Parker, Tristan, Preston, Addison, Liam, Joanna. Funeral services will be Friday morning 10:00 a.m at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pollard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to United Methodist Village activities fund, or Pleasant Ridge Christian Church.
