Ruth V Crawford

Ruth V. Crawford, age 101, of Sumner, IL passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. Born, September 7, 1909 in Clay City, IL she was the daughter of John Daniel and Florence A. (Harris) Spitler. She married Robert H. Crawford July 2, 1932 and he passed away in 1980. Ruth worked as a supervisor for a law publishing company in Mundelein, IL for 24 years. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Sumner. Survivors include two daughters Linda G. Brock and her husband Frank of Zion, IL and Gail A. Crawford and her husband Tom Milakovic of Michigan City, IN; one sister-in-law Maxine Spitler of Sumner; one granddaughter Rebecca and husband Jon of Bristol, WI, and one great-granddaughter Paige of Bristol, WI She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, one son Stephen, one grandson Randy, one brother John, and two sisters Bertha and Corene. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Claremont.
