The only child of Purl Mallory and Lucille McClure Mallory Anderson, and step-daughter of Joseph Anderson, she was born on November 7, 1922 in Knox County, Indiana. She married Carmen Charles Clark on October 26, 1946 in Bridgeport, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2011. Her parents and her beloved only sibling, Thomas John Anderson, also preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter, Bonita Clark Quandt (Robert) of Mason City, IL, her grandson, Evan Clark Frisby (Sheri) of Winston Salem, NC, her step-grandson, Wade Quandt (Linda Buck)of Emden, IL, and her step-granddaughter, Traci Quandt Murashka (Oleg) of Sierra Vista, AZ, and two step-great-grandchildren. She was a school nurse in the Lawrenceville School System, and a nurse at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, last serving there as Interim Director of Nursing. She was the church organist at Otterbein United Methodist Church for thirty years. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Mason City, Illinois, where she moved in 2011, but in her heart, she was always "Methodist." She loved to play music and sing, using that gift generously when asked to do so. She served her Lord Jesus by caring for others and inviting neighbors and friends to come to church. Even to the end, she was a nurse - watching to see that good care was given to those in need. Visitation and funeral services were held Thursday, December 18, 2014, at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL with burial in the Billett Cemetery in Billett, IL.
