Ruth Olga Brodhacker

Ruth Olga Brodhacker, age 90 of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at the United Methodist Village North Campus. She was born January 29, 1924 in Lawrenceville, IL the daughter of Henry Elmer Weaver and Nora Dell McKeighen Weaver. She married Albert Brodhacker in 1974, and he survives. Ruth worked for General Electric, K-Mart, Hortons Fish Market located in Vincennes, IN. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Carmel, IL. and the Eastern Star. Preceding Ruth in death were her parents, five brothers and one sister. Survivors include: her husband Albert, two sons, Gavin (Tammy) Horton of Bridgeport, IL, Owen(Janice) Horton of Wheatland ,IN.; Five step-children: David (Cathy) Brodhacker and Albert Joseph "AJ" (Becky) Brodhacker both of Greenwood, IN, Daymon (Sandy) Brodhacker of Martinsville, IN, Clyde (Marcia) Brodhacker of LaPorte, IN, Sharon (Joey) Branham of Burkesville, KY, three brothers, Blanchard Weaver of Lawrenceville, IL., Robert Weaver of Flat Rock, IL, Bill Weaver of rural Flat Rock, IL. Five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, 10 step grand-children, 11 step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday 12:00 noon until the service hour of 1:00p.m. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mt. Carmel, IL.
