Roy Cunningham

Roy Cunningham, 78, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away May 18, 2009 at the United Methodist Village North Campus in Lawrenceville, IL.He was born July 28, 1930 in Lawrenceville, IL the son of Lawrence and Anna Mary (Newell) Cunningham. He was first married to Phyllis Masengale on April 6, 1952. She passed away October 27, 2003. He then married LaDonna (McClaskey) Pinkstaff on July 5, 2007. She survives.Roy owned and operated Cunningham Floor Craft in Lawrenceville. He also worked as a Locksmith. Prior to owning Cunningham Floor Craft he worked for K.L. Brunson for several years. He was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church.He is survived by 2 daughters: Cheryl Cunningham of Vincennes, IN, Theresa and husband Tim Hocking of Mt. Carmel, IL, step-daughter: Penny and Mark Goodwin of Owasso, OK, 2 brothers: Charles and Fern Cunningham of Bridgeport, IL, David and Karen Cunningham of Lake St. Louis, MO, a sister: Charlotte and Harry Masengale of Indianapolis, IN, 2 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren.The funeral will be Friday at 11:00am at the Zion United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Zion Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.Memorial donations may be given to the Zion United Methodist Church or to the Wesleyan Church.
