Ross M. Montgomery

Ross M. Montgomery, 74, of Lawrenceville, passed away at his residence October 29, 2008 at 2:06 a.m.  He was born October 3, 1934 in Crawford County, IL, the son of Charles and Daisy (Hightshoe) Montgomery.Ross worked as an operating engineer for Local 841 out of Terre Haute, IN.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.Survivors include three sons Mike Montgomery, Ross Montgomery, Jr., and Mark Montgomery all of Lawrenceville; one daughter Greta Jean Tracy of Flat Rock, IL; one brother Richard Montgomery of Robinson, IL; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.Ross was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville with visiting hours from 12:00 (noon) until the hour of service on Saturday.
