Rosemary "Pinky" (Pinkstaff) Ewing, 87, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at her residence. She was born February 4, 1928, in Lawrenceville, the daughter of Kirk and Grace (McKinney) Pinkstaff. She was raised by Dennis L. and Beulah (Pinkstaff) Zehner. She married Wilbur Ewing on June 21, 1950. He survives.
Rosemary worked as a bookkeeper for Universal Oil in Chicago, Illinois and then as a bookkeeper for Wilbur Ewing, CPA. She was also a homemaker and loving mother.
Rosemary was a member of the First Christian Church. She served as a leader for the Camp Fire Girls, was a bowler and an avid gardener.
Rosemary's parents preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Wilbur, of Lawrenceville; one son, Jon Ewing and his wife Jan of Taylorsville, Kentucky; one daughter, Susan Ewing and her husband Paul DeCou of Oxford, Ohio; two grandchildren, Andres Brown-Ewing and Aaron Brown-Ewing.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Lawrenceville City Cemetery. There is no visitation.
