Rose M. Turnage

Rose M. Turnage, age 61, of Lawrenceville passed away July 27, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN. She was born June 9, 1949 in E. Chicago, IN the daughter of Rudolph and Bessie (Dolman) Ruzich. Rose married her first husband, David Evans November 27, 1968 and he is deceased. She married her second husband, Floyd Turnage in 1988, who is also deceased.Rose was a retired teachers aide. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Mt. Carmel and a member of the Women of the Moose.Rose was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, her parents, and one brother Rudoph Ruzich, Jr.Survivors include one son David L. (Amy) Evans, Jr of Lawrenceville; four daughters Carolyn Smalley and Brenda Darnold both of Lawrenceville, Rebecca Becky (Wes) Smith of Mt. Carmel, Cheryl (Jeremiah) Caballero of Robinson, IL; one brother William Billy Ruzich of Lawrenceville; three sisters Sandra Kiser and Kathy Foster both of Lawrenceville and Janice Laslie of St. Francisville, IL; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, as well as her companion Gary Jones of Lawrenceville.Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
