Rosalie Byrley Waggoner

Rosalie Byrley Waggoner, age 86, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Ridgeview Nursing Home in Oblong, Illinois. She was born on June 24, 1938 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Robert Arthur and Mary Dell (Wells) Byrley.

Rosalie worked for the Lawrenceville Moose for 15 years, the water department at Lawrenceville City Hall for 11 years, and as a factory worker. Her memberships included the Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, VFW, American Legion, and the Lawrence County Historical Society. She enjoyed traveling and gardening.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Donald Eugene and Robert Byrley; one son, Wayne Phillippe; and one daughter, Cheryl A. Phillippe.

Survivors include two nephews, James Robert ‘Rob’ Byrley and Danny Byrley both of Palestine, Illinois and one brother, John Bryley of Seymour, Indiana.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM CST at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Senior Citizens. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
