Rondell Lee Routien

Rondell Lee Routien, 82, of Sumner, IL passed away Wednesday August 19, 2009 at his residence.He was born May 23, 1927 in Lawrence County, IL the son of Albert and Icis (Harbaugh) Routien.He was an oilfield worker and also worked at Roadmaster/AMF in Olney, IL. He also worked for the National Guard Armory until retirement. He was a US Army Veteran with the 50th Infantry having served in Korea. He enjoyed woodworking, farming, old cars, and spending time with his family.He is survived by a brother: Harold Routien and his wife Carolyn Routien of Winchester, KY, and several nieces and nephews. Four brothers and 2 two sisters are deceased.The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00pm at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Sumner Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.Memorials may be given to the Sumner Senior Citizens.Arrangements are pending at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.
