Ronald Caleb Mason

Ronald Caleb Mason, age 74, of Sumner, IL passed away on December 29, 2011. He was born December 27, 1937 in Olney, IL, the son of Vane Mason and Elma (Schonaman) Mason. He married Linda Whittaker on June 23, 1957 and she survives. Ronald was a farmer, truck driver, and oil field worker. He was a member of the New Hope Christian Church and enjoyed traveling. Survivors include four sons, Ronald W. Mason of Trinity, Texas, Michael Mason of rural Sumner, IL, Anthony Mason of Sumner, IL, and Nicolas Mason of Lanett, Alabama; three daughters Pamela Selby of Lawrenceville, IL, and Michelle Kidwell and Vicki Wymer of Bridgeport, IL, two sisters Rowena Raber of Albion, IL and Phyllis Clodfelter of West Salem, IL; as well as nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Steven Mason, and one brother. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
