Rogar D. Winkles

Rogar D. Winkles, age 76, of St. Francisville, Illinois, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026 at his residence. He was born February 18, 1950 in St. Francisville, the son of Dorison Winkles and Stella Marie Moyes Winkles. He married Karen Wishart July 19, 2012, and she survives.

Rogar dedicated 30 years of service to Johnson Farms in St. Francisville, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability. He was a member of the Catholic Church and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. Rogar had a special love for his dogs and took great pride in caring for his lawn, always making sure it was meticulously maintained. After a hard day's work, he enjoyed stopping for a cold beer and visiting with friends. Rogar will be remembered for his kindness, friendship, and the many cherished memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

Preceding Rogar in death were his parents; son, Christopher Dale Winkles; siblings, Rose Beanie Morgan and Leo Butch Winkles.

Survivors include: his wife, Karen; children, Brian (Shelly) Monk, Meghann (Andy) Winkles Russell, Trevor Winkles, Rogar “Joe” Winkles, and Dustin (Sydney) Winkles; step-children, Joshua (Kristina) Zink of West Virginia, Dollie (Mike) Kitchell of Illinois, Dane (Corina) Anderson of Michigan; sibling, Dorothy Winkles Lawrence; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Claws and Paws Animal Rescue Center in Olney, Illinois.
