Roberta Argo

Roberta Argo, age 83, of rural Lawrenceville passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. She was born April 21, 1928 in Lawrence County, IL the daughter of Robert A. and Evelyn (Shoulders) Longnecker. She married Louis E. Argo, June 20, 1954 and he passed away July 28, 1986. Roberta worked at People's National Bank. She was also a homemaker. Roberta attended Pleasant Ridge Christian Church and was a member of Home Extension. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louis, one brother and one sister. Survivors include two sons Mike (Bobbi) Argo of Midland, TX and Chuck (Kathy) Argo of rural Lawrenceville; three grandchildren Melissa Argo, Elizabeth Mains, and Christopher Argo, and two great-grandchildren, Elias Argo and Chase Mains. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial in Lawrenceville City Cemetery Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday. Memorial donations may be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
