Robert V. Westall

Robert V. Westall, age 78, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away March 25, 2012 in Lawrenceville. He was born May 9, 1933 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Isaac and Mary Belle (Chambers) Westall. He married Betty Karen Smith on December 31, 1980 and she survives. Robert worked as a truck driver for Girton Brothers and Sheehan and retired from asphalt material in 1992, after 20 years. He was an Army veteran. Memberships included the Legion, Moose, and Teamsters Local 135 out of Terre Haute, IN. Robert was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Wade Westall and Robert A. Westall, one brother John William Westall; one granddaughter Leigh Ann Westall and one step-granddaughter Brandy Brown. Survivors include his wife Karen of Lawrenceville, two sons Charles Vernon Westall and wife Annabel of Okinawa, Japan, Spencer M. Westall of Fort Benning, GA, one daughter Veronica R. Westall of Lawrenceville, a step-son Brent Brown of St. Francisville, IL, one sister Betty Suddath of Lawrenceville, IL, two grandsons Michael Wade Westall and Isaac Owen Westall, two step-grandaughters Cheyenne and Tabby Brown, as well as a special friend Debra Barekman. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 PM at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
