Robert Bruce Stovall November 1, 1928 - September 26, 2012 Robert Bruce Stovall, age 83, of Oblong, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at his residence. He was born November 1, 1928, in Evansville, IN, the son of James F. and Mabel (Keyser) Stovall. He married C. Charlene Stover on March 10, 1951, and she preceded him in death on February 6, 2007. Robert was a farmer and a brick mason. He served three terms as road commissioner for Martin Township. Robert attended Island Free Methodist Church. He was a member of the NRA and a charter member of Professional Farmers of America. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Rapheal Stovall, and one son-in-law, David Boughan. Survivors include two sons Bob Stovall and wife Gena of Salem, IL; Bruce Stovall of Eugene Oregon; three daughters Terri Reisz and husband Greg of Evansville, IN, Paula Littlejohn and husband Lee of Sumner, IL, and Dee Boughan and husband Keith of Oblong, IL; three brothers Raymond Stovall and wife June of Lake Havasu, AZ, Jim Stovall and wife Sharon of Sumner, IL and Dick Stovall and wife Diana of St. Regis ,MT; one sister Ramona Maney and husband Dick of California; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner with burial to follow in Waggoner West Cemetery in Chauncey. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4 to 6 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Island Free Methodist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
