Robert W. Smith

Biography Robert W. "Bob" Smith, age 67, of Olney, IL (formerly of Sumner) passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Lawrence Community Health Care Center in Bridgeport. He was born January 27, 1944 in Olney, IL the son of W.A. Smith and Hazel A. (Summers) Creek. Bob was a truck driver for the Teamster's Union out of Belleville until retirement. He was an Army Veteran and a member of the Eagles. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter Julie Smith and her companion Butch Shick of Sumner, as well as a special cousin Elaine Roosevelt of West Salem, IL. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Sumner Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
