Robert 'Robby' Sandefer

Robert Alan ‘Robby' Sandefer, 59, of Charleston, Illinois passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Charleston Rehab and Health Care Center in Charleston, Illinois. He was born June 18, 1958 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Robert Lee and Kathleen Mary (Boot) Sandefer. Robby was born and raised in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He was an outgoing person who made friends easily. He was loved by his family and touched the hearts of all who knew him. For many years, Robby resided at Hickory Estates in Sumner, Illinois. More recently, he lived in Charleston, Illinois, where he resided at CCAR Madison Avenue Home and worked at CCAR Industries. During his life, some of Robby's favorite activities included bowling, shopping, and eating at McDonald's and Dairy Queen. He especially loved to dance, joke around, and make people laugh. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include two brothers, Mike Sandefer of Harrisville, New York and Richard Sandefer of Charleston, Illinois and two sisters, Mary Kay Davis of Vincennes, Indiana and Ann Sandefer of Idaho. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Private services were conducted. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
