Robert L. Parish

Robert L. Parish, age 75, of Lawrenceville passed away at his residence at 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2007. Born June 21, 1931, he was the son of William and Ethel (Seitzinger) Bennett. He married Violet Lieb on January 21, 1974 and she survives.Robert retired from the Navy after 20+ years and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was retired from KCARC as a shop supervisor. He was a loving husband and father.He is survived by his wife, Violet, four sons Robert Stephens and wife Paula, Randell Stephens and wife Jonni all of Lawrenceville, Robert Vincent and wife Amanda of Sumner, and Curtis Wayne Gary of Columbus, GA. He is also survived by a cousin Jerry Seitzinger and wife Linda, aunts and uncles Mary Davis, Lois and Bud Seitzinger, Esther and Don Seitzinger, Joe and Doris Dunning, as well as two beloved pets Bill and Spike the dog.The funeral will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. The visitation will be on Saturday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.Burial will be in the May Chapel Cemetery with military rites.
