Robert Keith Ford

Robert Keith Ford, 65, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He was born on August 17, 1951 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of William C. Ford and Velma L. (Owens) Burnett. Keith was a carpenter and owned Ford Construction for 20 plus years. He was a member of the Highway Church of God, the Moose, and the Elks. He enjoyed spending time at the lake and was a Chicago Cubs fan. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Billy Ford. Survivors include his two daughters, Kristal Shick and husband, Tad, of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Kasey Riggs of Lawrenceville, Illinois; step-mother, Monna F. Ford of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three brothers, Dan Burnett of Bridgeport, Illinois, Ed Burnett of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Paul Ford of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; six sisters, Susan Townsend of Memphis, Tennessee, Janet Cody of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Linda Frazier of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Susan Wall of Fenton, Missouri, Julia Hoalt of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Donna Smith of Greenwood, Indiana; and three grandchildren, Chase Shick, Chaylee Shick, and Jackson Riggs. A memorial service will be Thursday, June 1 at 6:00 PM CST at the Hi-Way Church of God. A time of gathering will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM CST at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Keith's memory may be made to the Lawrence County Cancer Resource Center and Wig Shoppe or the Hi-Way Church of God. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
