Robert S. Bledsoe, age 64, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at his residence. He was born February 6, 1962 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of John Bledsoe and Dorotha Akins Bledsoe. He married Tina Collins February 19, 2017, and she survives.
Robert proudly served in the United States Army before working in the oil industry alongside his father. He later worked as a semi-truck driver for Murphy Trucking. Robert enjoyed gardening and took great pride in caring for his flowers and butterfly garden. He was patient and creative, finding enjoyment in making and painting crafts. He especially cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren. Robert loved traveling with Tina and had a special appreciation for the mountains. He also enjoyed cooking and was well known for making the best chili.
Preceding Robert in death were his parents and brothers, Mike Bledsoe and Steve Bledsoe.
Survivors include: his wife, Tina; children: Aleah (Larry) Seitzinger of Lawrenceville, Michelle (Brian) Monk of St. Francisville, Michael (Heather Schultz) Pinkstaff of Russellville, Katherine (Richard Fiori) Collard of Olney, Lindsay (Gary Tapley) Pinkstaff of Vincennes, Indiana; siblings, Jack (Karen) Bledsoe of Bridgeport, Shirley (Gary) Underwood of St. Francisville; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private services will be conducted. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
