Richard 'Rick' D. Lewis

Richard ‘Rick' D. Lewis, 61, of rural Sumner, Illinois, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born September 23, 1955, the son of Donald E. and Patricia (Smith) Lewis. He married Pamela Clodfelter on February 17, 1990 and she survives. Rick was a farmer; as well as owner of Lewis Excavating, along with his sons. He was a member of the Beulah United Methodist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman, but most of all he was a loving husband and enjoyed working with his sons on the family farm. Preceding him in death was his father. Survivors include his mother, Patti; wife, Pam; sons, Cody and Cameron; sister, Deanna Bennett and husband, Ronnie; brother, J.C. Lewis all of rural Sumner, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Ridgely Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rick's memory may be made to Island Free Methodist Church.
