Dr. Richard Brennan, 87, of rural Lawrenceville, Il passed away Saturday November 1, 2014 at his residence.
He was born July 1, 1927 in Chicago, IL the son of Richard L. and Marie (Urban) Brennan. He was married to Glenda Miller. She survives.
Dr. Brennan graduated from Lindblom High School. He then graduated from the Chicago College of Optometry and is an Alumnus of the Illinois College of Optometry. He worked at Chitticks Optical from 1964 until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the Omega Delta Fraternity. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Melisa Loggins of Indianapolis, IN, a brother: Donald Brennan and his wife Florence of Palos Park, IL and two cousins: Gloria Galich and her husband Michael, and Shirley Poppen and her husband Albert.
A Graveside Service will be conducted Thursday at 11:00am at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00pm.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
