Rena Fern Wade

Rena Fern Wade, age 82, of Lawrenceville, passed away July 11, 2011 at United Methodist Village-North Campus. Born March 16, 1929 in Hawkeye, MO she was the daughter of Luther and Viola (Strutton) Lawrence. She married James E. Wade December 12, 1945 and he passed away November 10, 1979. Rena was a homemaker. She and her husband owned and operated Wade Logging Company for many years. She was affiliated with Billett United Methodist Church. Rena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, one son and one grandson. Survivors include her companion and friend Earl Ottinger of Olney, one son Ronald Wade of Midland, TX; four daughters Linda McClaskey of Midland, TX, Freda Mae Goff of Brownsville, TX, JoAnn Youngsma of FL, and Carolyn Lindsay of Flat Rock, IL; two brothers Junior Lawrence of Crocker, MO and Elgie Lawrence of Palestine, IL; one sister Lois Perez of Crocker, MO; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 18th in Crocker Cemetery, Crocker, MO. There will be no local services. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
