Rebecca J. Howder

Rebecca J. Howder, 65, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Saturday February 21, 2009 at Lawrence County memorial Hospital.She was born May 5, 1943 in Vincennes, IN. She was the daughter of Eugene and Doris (Simmons) Dicus. She was married to Barney G. Howder on September 12, 1960. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2000.She worked at Golden Rule Insurance for 20 plus years. She also worked at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville and Oak View Nursing Home in Mt. Carmel, IL.She is survived by 3 daughters: Rebecca "Snookie" Howder of Bellmont, IL, Kimberly Howder of Lawrenceville, IL, Jenny Raber of Lawrenceville, IL, 2 brothers: Ronald Dicus if Lawrenceville, IL, William Dicus of Cairo, IL,  a sister: Betty Marie Jones of St. Francisville, IL, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. A daughter: Debra  Howder is deceased.The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Crematory in Vincennes, IN. Visitation is Tuesday from from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
