Reba Elizabeth Daffron, age 81, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. She was born May 15, 1931 in Lawrenceville, the daughter of France and Claudia (Noe) McNelly. She married Leroy "Jack" Daffron, Sr. on January 13, 1974, and he died December 19, 2004.
Reba was a member of the Hi-Way Church of God. Reba was an avid doll collector who also repaired and made dolls.
Reba was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant brother Gordon Lee McNelly and one brother Joe McNelly, one granddaughter Jodie Patrick, and one great-grandson Gavin Couch.
Survivors include one son Eddie (Sue) Sandlin of Robinson, IL; two daughters Terry (Gail) Patrick of Lawrenceville, IL and Eraina Cox of Vincennes, IN; one step-son Robert Cessna of Mt. Carmel, IL; two sisters Mildred Hedge of Bicknell, IN and Jane (Berlyn) Buchanan of Lawrenceville, IL; nine grandchildren, William Sandlin, Laura Richart, James Patrick, Jada Patrick, Jenna Thacker, Donny, Timmy, David, and Michael Cox, and 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Saturday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 PM (CST) at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
