Randle L. Walls

Biography Randle L. Walls, age 69, of rural Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013, at his residence, surrounded by his family, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born November 14, 1943, in Lawrence County, IL, the son of Earl and Edna Aileen (Benson) Walls. He married Lynda Rodrick on April 23, 1967. Randle worked at Texaco Refinery, Unit #10 School District, Indian Refinery, and then worked for several years at Hershey in Robinson. He enjoyed fishing, farming, mushroom hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Preceding Randle in death were his parents; two brothers Earl Walls, Jr. and Clyde Walls; two sisters Virginia Smith and Wanda Dickirson; and one grandson Bradley Walls. Survivors include his wife Lynda of rural Lawrenceville; three daughters Michelle (Jerry) Rinsch of rural Flat Rock, IL, Rita (Woody) Rousey of Bridgeport, IL and Sheila (Mark) Tewell of rural Lawrenceville, IL; three brothers Jerry (Joann) Walls of Crawfordsville, IN, Noble Walls and Kenneth Walls both of Bridgeport, IL; two sisters Mary Lue Burgener of Dundas, IL and Mae (Philip) Engel of Murphysboro, IL; six grandchildren Jesse Rinsch, Dakota Rinsch, Shelby Rousey, Britany Walls, Tyler Tewell, and Amber Tewell, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Tuesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or to the Zion United Methodist Church with envelopes available through the funeral home.
