Ramona Paddick

Ramona K. Paddick, 75, of Sumner, Illinois passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 6, 1942 in Richland County, Illinois, the daughter of Norman Bemount and Nettie (Brooks) Bemount Weaver. She married Jack E. Paddick on January 28, 1962 and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2011. Ramona retired from Golden Rule, after working there for 38 years; and she was a farmwife. She was a member of the Chauncey United Methodist Church and the Chauncey Community Club. Her hobbies included antiquing, going to auctions, and gardening; she also enjoyed being with her family. Preceding her in death were her husband, Jack; parents; and brother, Norman ‘Genie' Bemount. Survivors include: one son, Todd W. Paddick and companion, Nancy Kegg, of Sumner, Illinois; one daughter, Crystal L. Paddick of Sumner, Illinois; one sister, Katrina Beaty of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Jessica Knight and husband, Justin, and Taylor Paddick; three great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Paddick, Kaylybb Knight, and Kaydynn Knight. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM CST at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chauncey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ramona's memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Chauncey Community Club, or Chauncey United Methodist Church.
