Ralph 'Buck' E. Wimberly

Ralph E. "Buck" Wimberly, Jr., age 55, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born June 9, 1959, in Lawrenceville, the son of Ralph E. Wimberly, Sr. and Mildred (Allen) Wimberly. He married Vonda Malone on December 16, 1979 and she survives. "Buck" worked in construction. He was a mechanic all of his life. He also worked for the City of Lawrenceville. He was a Union Laborer. "Buck" attended 4th Street Wesleyan Christian Church. Preceding "Buck" in death were his parents; one daughter Linda Joyce Wimberly and one sister Linda Patten. Survivors include his wife, Vonda, of Lawrenceville; one son, Ralph E. "Shelby" Wimberly, III (Stephanie) in Lawrenceville; three daughters, Wendy Gossett (Charles, II), Jennifer Burkhart (Nathan), Vonda Medler (Heath), all of Lawrenceville; two brothers, Harold Crouch, Sr. of Princeton, Indiana and Roger Wimberly of Lawrenceville; three sisters, Micky Brewer of Vincennes, Indiana, Pamela Brewer of Lawrenceville, and Rhonda Smith of Mt. Carmel and 19 grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
