R. Helen Darnold

Helen Darnold, age 82, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016, at United Methodist Village-North Campus. She was born July 5, 1933, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Kearns) Stallard. She married Harold "Sonny" Darnold on October 3, 1957, and he died October 27, 1999. Helen worked at the First Christian Church Day Care Center. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and one daughter Nicole Darnold, four brothers, and one sister. Survivors include one son, Kevin Darnold of Evansville, Indiana; two daughters Teresa Horrall and her husband Mitch of Oaktown, Indiana and Susan Friday and her husband John of Indianapolis, Indiana; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. It was Helen's wishes to be cremated.  The family request that friends gather from 11 AM to 12:45 PM on Friday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
