Phyllis L. Shick

Phyllis L. Shick, age 69, of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born May 18, 1943 in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of Leroy and Vera (Dickerson) Ritchie. She married Bill Shick on September 9, 1967, and he survives. Phyllis was employed at CVS from 1987 to the present time, where she worked as manager and then became a pharmacy technician. She also drove a school bus for 13 years. Phyllis was a member of the Billett United Methodist Church and the Billett Church Ladies Missionary Group. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Jamie Shick, and one sister, Anita Brewer. Survivors include her husband Bill of Lawrenceville, one son Jeff Shick and wife Becky of rural Lawrenceville, one daughter Jenny Chapman and husband Jon of Lawrenceville, one half-brother Sam Ritchie of Vincennes, IN, ten grandchildren, and three nephews, Josh Brewer, Jeremy and Erin Brewer, Jason and Krista Shick and one niece, Joni and Colton Wells. Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday at Billett United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Burial will be in Billett Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Billett Church or the Billett Ladies Missionary Group.
