Phyllis 'June' Schultz

Phyllis ‘June' Schultz, 91, of Sumner, Illinois passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at her residence. She was born June 22, 1927 in Richland County, Illinois, the daughter of Owen ‘Harlie' and Vera (Heckler) Hasler. She married Wilbur ‘Pat' Schultz on May 16, 1948 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1986. June was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing. Over the years, she babysat a total of 93 children in her home daycare. She was a member of the Sumner Free Methodist Church and attended the Sumner United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Pat; one son, David Schultz; one daughter, Karen Ellison; two sisters, Wanda and Kathryn; and two grandchildren. Survivors include one son, John Schultz and wife, Linda, of Evansville, Indiana; four daughters, Patricia Glass and husband, Larry of Vincennes, Indiana, Anne Green of St. Francisville, Illinois and husband, Buster, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Esther Schultz of Sumner, Illinois; and Mary Beth Smith and husband, Steve, of Casey, Illinois; two brothers, Noel Hasler and wife, Bonnie, of Bridgeport, Illinois and Lloyd Hasler of Lawrenceville, Illinois; 16 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Sumner Cemetery in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in June's memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
